Explain what you did for the Podcast project and whether it was what you had intended or needed more input. My podcast project was an eerie and slow paced short story, detailing truthful accounts of bizarre events that have happened in my lifetime. There were many story choices to choose from but, as my alternative was historical, I went for a history inspired story based in modern time. I guess, in a way, it was not what I intended. But, ultimately, the final product turned out better than I had anticipated.  The topic was that of " That Time A Halloween Costume Made Me Famous" a short story which details my struggle to accidentally becoming a world known costume designer. Podcast Production Cover Image - Based off of the script, I had A few Ideas for the Title and Cover image. First, I had to take them. I set out with my camera and tripod, and 2 lights. Setting it at a 10 second timer, I gave myself a multitude of ideas to work with. I easily spent an hour going to various locations around the house and taking promo pictures. The needed a photoshop, but there were exactly what I was after. This went as follows: I liked the overall visual style. But, the Font was not to my liking, and the image was too warm. Other than this, it is not the kind of image I wanted to represent the Podcast. It was lacking a sense of life. It seemed too professional to consider interesting and needed an element of flora. So, I went for the flora route. The font this time was to a standard of my liking. Although not perfect, it was heading in the right direction. Script: I thought that it would be an interesting discussion point to talk about something that happened to me last year. And basically, how I accidentally became a cosplay sensation overnight.  So, it all started mid summer, as all good stories do. And, here in the UK we were about half way through the first national lockdown. I was lucky enough to be placed on furlough. Which, if you don't know, is basically pay without work. So there I was, just finished my GCSE's, no coursework, lots of time to kill and lots of money to blow. Now, I had figured that when we were out of lockdown it would be Halloween time. So that being said I had to start thinking about A costume. I work at a joke and costume shop by the Norfolk seafront and every year on Halloween, we all attend work in costume. Every year, the staff will cover old clothes in fake blood and spray their hair wild colours. Its good fun.  Pre - Here is a summary of the equipment I will use to Produce my podcast. Audio Technica AT-2035 - The audio Technica AT-2035 will  be used for Podcast Narration. This cardioid condenser mic is a serious piece of kit and, at a high recording resolution, will require some extra care to get a professional grade sound. As this is a professional audio sampling mic, it will require a full 48V phantom power in order to start recording. It then needs its own dedicated preamp and pop filter in order to achieve a clear sound.  Focusrite Scarlett Solo - This is my go-to audio interface as it has clean preamps and the dedicated 48V phantom power switch. It has the single XLR input required . The downsides to this was that it has no EQ adjustment on the fly and will have to be enhanced digitally.  Audio Production: Audio production relates to the way that sound is captured and mixed. Sound capture is how the sound is physically recorded. And mixing refers to how the sound is altered in Post-Production. It all starts with the Microphone. Microphones : Dynamic Microphones are strong and well built. These mics are most commonly found on live shows in which vocals are required. This is because dynamic microphones capture a very narrow field of view; And, so can be amplified extremely  loud without interfering  with other pickups without creating feedback (the screeching  noise when two sound frequencies  meet at a high volume). They never require additional Phantom Power. Sound Sound design is arguably one of the most important parts of a cinematic experience. Second to image, sound is crucial to immerse an audience and create a believable world space. Almost all media types are accompanied by sound design, and some brands rely on sound as a trademark for their brand (McDonalds, and MGM). Fundamentals of Sound : pitch  duration  intensity   timbre  velocity These are the basic properties of sound. All sounds that we hear and all sounds that we create rely on these 5 basic fundamentals.  Pitch refers to the note or key of a sound. This can raise or lower to create a melody or add character to a conversation.  Duration refers to the length of time a sound is carried out for. Lets say a track is 4:30 minutes long, then that means that the track has a duration of 4:30. In music terms, Tempo can also work alongside duration.
